Dr. Evelyn Abayaah-Issah

Dr. Evelyn Abayaah-Issah is Co-Founder and Governing Council Member of WiPHLA. She brings 20 years of experience in global healthcare, health systems strengthening, and women's health leadership across Sub-Saharan Africa and the United States. Dr. Abayaah-Issah is a Director at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, where she leads strategic initiatives to expand equitable cancer care. Her career spans clinical care, health system strengthening, and policy advocacy with a focus on ensuring that women and underserved populations have access to quality health services. She holds a doctorate in public health and has served on numerous boards and advisory panels advancing health equity. Dr. Abayaah-Issah's work is grounded in the belief that strong health systems require strong women leaders — and that African women are uniquely positioned to lead that transformation.
