Dr. Mohammed Baloni

Dr. Mohammed Baloni serves on the Technical Advisory Council of WiPHLA. He brings over 25 years of experience as a clinician, public health leader, and health systems strategist across Nigeria. As the former Commissioner of Health for Kaduna State, Dr. Baloni led health sector reforms that improved service delivery, strengthened primary health care, and expanded access to essential medicines. He has extensive experience in health financing, human resources for health, and governance of large-scale health programmes. Dr. Baloni is a medical doctor with postgraduate training in public health and health management. His career spans clinical practice, hospital administration, and senior government leadership, giving him a comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities in African health systems.
